Curt Ramm is an American musician, recording artist, arranger and composer, specializing in trumpet, flugelhorn and various low brass instruments.
Originally hailing from Joplin, MO, Curt grew up in a very musical family and started playing at a very young age leading him to study the trumpet at UMKC Conservatory. After college, Curt joined the U.S. Navy Band and later co-founded the fusion band Ocean which enjoyed a loyal following. He later returned to the Kansas City jazz scene where he had the opportunity to play with many touring musicians including the Charlie Parker Memorial Foundation Jazz Orchestra.
As well as being an in-demand studio session player, Curt’s work as a rock and roll sideman has kept him very busy over the years with electrifying live performances throughout the US, Europe and Japan. Some of his recording and performance credits include They Might Be Giants, Radiohead, The Levon Helm Band, Elton John, Paul Simon, Dionne Warwick, Jackson Browne, Donald Fagen and Phil Lesh, The Foundations Quintet and the US Navy Band.
Curt has joined Bruce as a member of both the Wrecking Ball Tour Band and Seeger Sessions band. He considers himself a Kansas City native, and currently resides in Connecticut.
