Singer Curtis King started touring with the E Street Band in 2009. He is also a member of Bruce Springsteen's Sessions Band.

He appeared on the Springsteen albums High Hopes (2014) and Western Stars (2019). Raised in Tallahassee, Florida, in his youth he sang in school and church choirs and fronted a garage band. In 1977, he moved to New York, where he was “discovered” by Roberta Flack. As a background singer and vocal arranger, King has appeared on hundreds of records, working with David Bowie, Madonna, Céline Dion, Billy Joel, the B-52’s, Patti Labelle, Rosanne Cash, and others. His original compositions are showcased on his 2017 album Changing Face.
