Bruce Springsteen and Patti Scialfa join Lucinda Williams on her latest album, “Stories from a Rock n Roll Heart,” out today.

The album features their background vocals on the inspiring single “New York Comeback” and the title track, “Rock N Roll Heart.” Williams has faced several challenges in recent years, including a tornado that damaged her home and a stroke that affected her ability to play guitar. She was forced to adapt her songwriting process as a result, working with her husband and manager Tom Overby, Springsteen collaborator Jesse Malin and guitarist Travis Stephens. Angel Olsen, Margo Price and The Replacements’ Tommy Stinson sing backup elsewhere on the project as well. The result is a 10-song rock album that showcases Williams’ grit and resilience.
