Singer and percussionist Anthony Almonte began performing live in New York at the age of 10, and studied with notables including Angel Ruben Rodriguez, Little Johnny Rivero, and Charlie Lagond.

He has toured and recorded with Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul, as well as Kid Creole and the Coconuts. He has also appeared with Johnny Pacheco and Dave Valentin, and played in the 2016 Kid Creole jukebox musical “Cherchez La Femme” at La Mama. His additional recording credits include Little Johnny Rivero & NY Cartel, Edwin Bonilla y Su Son, and New York-based salsa bands Grupo Arcano and Los Hacheros.
