E Street Horns 2023 portrait by Danny Clinch
Curt RammTrumpet

Curt Ramm started to study the trumpet after his family moved to Kansas City when he was 10, soaking up the city’s rich legacy of jazz and blues.

He joined the U.S. Navy Band after college graduation, and later co-founded the fusion band Ocean. An in-demand studio session player, Curt’s work as a sideman has also kept him very busy performing live throughout the US, Europe and Japan. Some of his credits include Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Bruce Springsteen Sessions Band, They Might Be Giants, Nile Rodgers and Chic, Radiohead, the Levon Helm Band, Glen Hansard, Darlene Love, and Little Steven. His most recent solo album is Rogue Island (2021).
