In keeping with the live tradition, Bruce invited David, an 8 year old boy from Munich, on stage to help sing “Waitin’ On A Sunny Day” during the May 30th concert in Berlin. Shortly after his moment in the spotlight, German newspaper BILD ran a feature on David and his experience that night.

The headline reads, “Munich Boy (8) rocks with Bruce Springsteen. The superstar gets David from Schwabing (a borough of Munich) on stage with him.” In the article, David tells BILD that it was a night of many firsts: his first father-son trip, his first plane ride, his first concert, and surely his first time singing in front of 55,000 people. Both massive Bruce Springsteen fans, his mother also made custom shirts for David and his father to commemorate the concert as seen in the article above.
