All star lineup revealed for MusiCares tribute

Bruce Springsteen will be honored as the 2013 MusiCares Person of the Year at a special event celebrating his exceptional artistic achievements as well as his philanthropic work on February 8th, two nights before the Grammy Awards. Proceeds from the annual Person of the Year tribute — now in its 23rd year — provide essential support for MusiCares, which ensures that music people have a place to turn in times of financial, medical, and personal need.

It was also just announced that The Daily Show‘s Jon Stewart will host the gala and concert with tribute performances from Elton John, Neil Young, Sting, Eddie Vedder, John Legend, Alabama Shakes, Mumford & Sons, Faith Hill, Patti Smith, Jackson Browne, Kenny Chesney, Ben Harper, Emmylou Harris, Jim James, Juanes, Natalie Maines, Tim McGraw, Tom Morello and Mavis Staples.
